Repaint an apartment

I have been living in my apartment for 5 years. How can I get the newport people to repaint the walls and refinish the floors? any help would be appreciated.

Talk to management office. You should be eligible for a paintjob every three years. The management office likely will give you the contact info for an outside contractor, and you deal with him then. I had it done two years ago already, and it worked ok. I was surprised that they didn't paint the ceiling, just the walls. Not sure about the floors though...

They don't "paint" the floors, but they will buff them. They have a machine for buffing, and you can also have them waxed.

Yes this has been one area the management does the job better.
