If it was, it looks like the Marbella has been knocked down if you page down. Although I live there I haven't been home since yesterday. Can anyone confirm whether the Marbella has been demolished?

Nic, you can only see the black spot as the shadow of the tower. It's still there :p

I am not sure i can see it. I see nothing where marbella should be. Infact, as far as I can tell, 40 newport pkway is definitely being pointed wrong. and they are pointing to somewhere behind the mall. The two brown buildings are to the right of the pointer.

yeah the 40 newport pointer is off, it should be more to the left near the pier. but the map itself is accurate.

the map is accurate, but isnt up-to-date. marbella is missing, so i guess it must be more than 12 months old. in fact there is an article in today's new york times abt privacy concerns - the google rep said that they are using old data for everyone to see. up-to-date data is more restricted.

How do you know the date of the photo?

Just wondering!

Marbella wasn't built when the pic was taken, so the pic must be at least 18 months old. However the site has been cleared and all of of newish buildings in the area are there. The trees are in leaf and the pools are open, so I guess it was taken summer 2003.

Some security issues.

The US Capitol is blurred.

Try it:

201 E Capitol St SE, Washington DC 20003
