I just got my renewal form in the mail for my apartment in John Adams. I am not sure if I will be in JC for the full year so wondering if Newport offers short term or month to month leases. I am assumig no and will still call the management office to confirm. But wondering if anyone tried to go down this path with management.

Surprisingly, they do offer short term or month-to-month. Just expect to pay more.

do not know about TOA, but at Avalon its like 20% more.

Well.. I cannot speak for the management. In my case, however, it was around $50 more per month on top of the increased rent. You should talk to the management, and good luck!!

Just wanted to report back. For my apt (JA), they were willing to offer, month to month for 15% higher than the current rent. For 6months+ lease, it's 7% higher and for 3-5 months it's 10% higher. Not bad option if you are not sure you are going to be living here for another year.
