Hi - has anyone experienced outage for NTC's T1 line service? Saturday morning (like around 1am) there was a brief electric shutdown for a couple seconds then ever since after that the T1 line just went out of service on me. anyone encountered the same experience over the weekend or in the past?
thank you.

I'm in the Riverside building and I noticed that power hit just after 1am. The power was out for just a few seconds but the T1 was up and running fine when I'd finished turning the PCs back on.
If I get an outage of more than an hour or two I call NTC and leave a message at (201) 626-2020. Dunno if that's what works but the problems seem to get sorted out.

I only have NTC for emergency backup purposes, but my computers (which are all on UPS systems) detected NTC being down for only about a minute.

What do you use if not NTC? VZ, Satellite?

I have an antenna inside my apartment, and then an antenna up on the root at my office, and use this to extend the office's Internet access into my apartment.
Here are many pictures (http://www.overloaded.net/gallery/wireless) of the gear used, including shots on the roof in Hoboken of the big antenna installed and pointing at Newport.

Pardon me for being geeky, but that is COOL. I wish my office were in line of sight of my apt :)...

It isn't even really line of sight. My apartment is on the south side of East Hampton, and the office is due north in Hoboken. In my apartment, I face the antenna west, and bounce the signal 90 degrees off the Southampton building so that it ends up going north.
