Just saw a sign by the large storefront next to the Cornerstone School. It looks like the space has been rented to a video and book store. Anyone have information on what we can expect here? :confused:

Kim's Mediatronic. I know the lease was signed for the space several weeks ago. Multimedia gathering place. We'll be able to rent or buy videos, books, CDs, and also grab a cup of coffee. I'll get more info next week.

cafe should be fun ....guess they flexed a bit on the no food thing for that space

I think it's really great that we are getting a video rental and book store. It's also cool to have a cafe (even though we have Starbucks close by).

Kims is by far the best place in Manhattan to rent movies. The Columbia store has the best selection of film books in town and the St. Marks store has everything a film fan could ever desire, including a lot of rare and bootleg stuff. Hopefully we'll get the best of both stores.

i am not convinced she is a good fit for newport

There are two Kim's video stores near NYU. One is at Bleecker and University Place, and ther other is at 8th and St. Marks. They have by far the best foreign movie selection. :cool:
