One hour - Forty Five Minutes to WTC! Best $1.50 I could spend though, I got tours of Grove Street, Journal Square, and Exchange Place all on the way to WTC.

No big deal though, it keeps things interesting. Besides, better than being at work.

How'd everyone else fare?

How did that work? Was the train diverted or did you take the wrong one? :D

Surprisingly the drive across NNJ was fairly painless, although I don't know why the roads don't have a better camber to let the rain run off.

REALLY? I paid $1.20 and only got to visit Grove Street & Exchange Place on my way to to WTC :) !

I guess I should've paid the extra 30 cents and gotten to visit Journal Square too:rolleyes: !! But then, I also saved a WHOLE 15 minutes - it took only an hour and a half to get to work for me :) !!!

Sounds like that, doesn't it?

But actually the PATH tunnels at WTC were flooded with water, and they only had enough pumps to drain water out of oe of them (at least, that's what we were told)! So, they kept on rerouting the PATH trains around, and we ended up in Grove Street about 30 minutes after leaving Newport  !

Once we realized what was happening, all we could do was wait at Grove, and FINALLY a train arrived about half an hour later, and luckily this one had enough room to accommodate most of the crowd which was waiting at the station:D !

Not too bad, about 50 minutes to Central Park south. Usually takes 35. The PATH trains were all F$^*&^$ up, and came late and had almost no space when they finally arrived. NO Orange line. So over crowding on the yellow line.

Things were almost as bad as they are in my country when there are heavy rains.

Delayed PATH trains due to flooding.

Closed subway stations due to flooding and fire (!) on the 34th St. subway tracks.

So yeah, arrived at work soaked and late.

My commute to downtown took about an hour and a half also. WTC train rerouted to Journal Sq, then to WTC. Lots of waiting in between stops. Some of my co workers in Brooklyn also had trouble getting into Manhattan via subway because of the flooding.

Used to take the ferry to Battery Park and it's nice, but you have to contend with delays/concellations during the winter.

Looks like I picked a good day to stay home. Didn't even go to work and didn't leave my house until 9, when it finally stopped raining.

So, it was raining in New Jersey. Nothing but sunny skies in Carefree, Arizona. :)
