Does anyone know if the mgt. has had any success luring a gourmet grocery store (whole foods, garden of eden) to the empty space at 100, pavonia ave (next to PATH)?

I just wrote to Whole Foods requesting that they consider newport as a possible location. If you'd like to see wholefoods in our area, may i suggest that you do the same (email: newstore.requests@wholefoods.com)...

I thought the ad for 100 Pavonia was for non-food retail space.

I had hoped that the mgt. would relax the criterion for grocery store (as opposed to a restaurant)... I also heard a while ago that the mgt. was considered leasing the space near the wine shop (opposite Thomas Jefferson, on newport parkway) to one of these gourmet grocery stores.

I'm in agreement with trying to get a Trader Joe's here. What a great store. When I lived in Arizona, I shopped there all the time. They don't have a link to request new stores, but they did say that we can write to them for any inquiries. I sent them a letter. Who knows?

Compared to Whole Foods, Trader Joe's is very inexpensive.

I have a cousin who is considering moving to Tuscon, Arizona. Can you give me some information that would be helpful in her search for good neighborhoods, schools, etc.?
