What do you do with your old cell phones?
As we all do, we get a new cell phone even though the old one is working just fine. I feel little bit guilty to throw it away since there is a battery.

Is there any place where they recycle? Your input would be appreciated. :)

Sell it on Craigslist if it is still functional?

Also I remember The Body Shop and The Radio Shack sometimes come up with promotions where you can donate a cellphone. If you don't want to sell it, that is the way to go

Check out this link: http://www.wirelessfoundation.org/index.cfm

If you donate it, you can get a tax deduction.

Please donate it! Women's shelters can give used mobile phones to battered women so that they have access to 9-1-1.

I took out the SIM card; however, can they still call 911?

Does anyone have an i860 they're looking to get rid of for a few bucks? I may or may not be interested depending on the asking price. :) PM me if you do.

Verizon Wireless store in the mall has a recycle bin right behing the technical assistance desk. I am sure that they will accept even if you are not a VW customer.

Most retailers have some kind of recycling program.. I am sure Staples and Target had these programs as well... not sure though if they have such programs in this area.

Here are some other resources.

I think that Collective Good works with Staples and you can drop your cell at any of their stores.
