Does any one know the procedure for getting married in Jersey City?

I am interested in the simplest possible procedure to get the marriage done according to the laws of NJ and obtain a marriage licence.

I am planning on a reception later and want to keep it separate from the marriage itself..

Go to City Hall, pay fee. It's that simple!

I got married in NJ an year ago. You need to goto your local municipality office/ city hall and register for a marriage license. Both of you need to go to fill forms, sign etc.
A few days later you can pick up the license and get married there itself (a judge can perform the ceremony). After you are married they give you a goodie bag and your certificate
All info is on the web so you can google it and obtain more details.

ha ha ha.. Thanks. They anticipate that people would need tylenol for headaches after marriage. Thats pretty smart :)
