Welcome back everyone. How was your weekend. Me, I was in Boston, and it felt so good not to have cops everywhere. Felt much better. Wish we'd have it that way in new York. I don't think its the same city any more. Just my opinion.

My weekend was very nice and relaxing. It went too fast but I needed the rest. You are right about the cops they are everywhere, Montgomery street (by the armory) was loaded with them. I wonder why?

I went to the coast, one place I got to visit was Asbury because I wanted to see this town associated with Bruce Springstein, Steve van Zandt and Southside Johnny etc, and it was unbelievably run down. I was amazed.
How was NY changed? I think it used to be edgier, but I'm not sure it has necessarily changed for the worst.

I think the only reason you all feel there's some kind of huge difference in NYC is that you're probably democrats and need to find yet another reason to hate republicans. Really, isn't there something else to be upset about? Clinton could have died, you know.

Didn't know you like the "Boss"? There was a Springstein exhibit at the Newark Musuem. Quiet cool.
In any case I had a very relaxing weekend. Didn't want to come to work today. Its a pity the summer is almost over. I had so many plans for this summer

I know. It's bollocks, isn't it? Where did summer go? I planned to do some sailing in New York Bay and along the Hudson, and do some diving down the Jersey coast, but I've done neither. I have booked a couple of dives for later on this month though, somewhat belatedly.
I'm not a great fan of the Boss although I saw him live once, but he was supported by Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes and they blew me away! I've seen them a couple of times since and think they are so cool, the sort of band you think, hey I'd like to play alongside these guys.

I sat around in Newport all weekend. It was terribly exciting. Those of you who left really missed out.

Well today is such a miserable, wet day. I wish I had some sick days left because I would have definitely took one today. I work in Secaucus and you need a boat to get to the corner!! I wish I was in my bed!!

I flew to San Diego over the weekend to visit with my son who is in the Marines. Played golf at Camp Pendleton, went Jet Skiing in one of the bays, went to the movies, hung out on the beach and relaxed. A very nice Labor Day weekend. And no rain!!!! :) :)

We went to Carefree, Arizona, and we're still here. The weather is fabulous, although hot, but breezy and dry. Most adventuresome part of the trip was a drive through the desert and Prescott National Forest to Sedona, a small new age western town, located in red rock county area -- the landscape is completely breath-taking, the speed limit in the Sonaran desert, and forest area is 75 mph. Highly recommend vacationing here, people are relaxed and friendly. Scottsdale, closest city to Carefree, is a bit more sophisticated, but we preferred the Carefree lifestlye during this visit.

Could you post some pictures of the landscapes whenever you get around? It would be interesting. Thanks
