I pay ~$100/year with Liberty Mutual.

I never bothered shopping around because $100/yr doesn't exactly break the bank.

It all depends on how much you're insurancing. The normal price range should be around 100-300 a year.

I have been using LM for Auto and Renters Ins for a couple of years now. I pay about $160 a year for 30K for apt. coverage.

I'm seriously thinking about doubling that since my computer equip is worth about half of that.

Jay,

I also use Liberty Mutual for my auto.

When you have multiple policies with them (like auto + renter's), they give you a discount (maybe 15%?).

no, I just have to have the latest and greatest to play games like DOOM3 and lots of diskspace for my "TIVO killer".

For the record, there are a couple of tenants in my building with more expensive stuff than me. I've seen it being delivered. Lots of Macs, flat panels and big color printers. There has to be some home-based businesses here.
