So, when are we going stop the talking and actually have some kind of social? I say Dorrians this Friday. We can all wear our Nic fan club badges to identify each other.

Marbella has a couple of happy hour socials each month. And last week there was a fanclub meeting at the Taste of Newport. Where were you?

I have mixed feelings about meeting you guys, on the one hand I know many of you quite well, some of you I've swapped messages and emails with and like you, but to actually meet? It might destroy my image of you! it's probably accurate, but in my mind eye you're all in-shape, well groomed boys and sexy, attractive girls - sorry Demiking you're a few pounds over in my image but only because you said so, and that doesn't make you any less attractive in my image of you.
And I suspect nobody would turn up. Well maybe Matt. And I'd still be tempted, although not Friday as I'm in town.
I went to one Marbella social and chatted to a few people. I've missed the others through other engagements. I wondered if I'd met LostinLamancha at the one I went to because I got chatting to a Ukrainian but think it probably wasn't, and I thought I heard somebody call someone Alison - and around the time we had an Alison who kept posting (but who has since disappeared or changed her nick).

I'm with you, Nic.
As a rule of thumb, I do not like meeting people from online. The transition is awkward from online to real-life friend.

Sometimes its worked, sometimes its hasn't. When its worked, I'm glad I did meet up.

I met my high school boyfriend online back in the day. But that was before widespread internet usage and the associated creepiness.

I can understand not wanting to meet if you've swapped many e-mails and made on-line connections, but there are thousands of people living here, and hundreds of young people that go out a lot. I just thought it'd be fun meeting some new people.

Yes, the Internet is full of freaks. However, all the people you meet offline are freaks too. You don't don't get an opportunity to see it.

why, thank you for the welcome :) on the conservative side, ~260 in s4 (engine lock removed), ~280 in 2005 maserati quattroporte (disappointing), same range for a couple of other red italian beauties, and had lots of fun on bikes. all in all, a worthy holiday :)
