why do some forums show up without any requests, and why do some forums that are being requested never show up.

We start forums when there is an apparent interest. Obviously, the election will be a hot topic for the next several months, so it makes sense to start a forum.

"Will be" but isn't obviously right now. Don't see too many threads in the other forum or this forum. Couldn't we have waited for an actually demand and need?

If you don't like a particular forum, simply don't read it.

Or continue to whine as it has been entertaining for many. :D
