If we could speak to animals and animal could speak to us, I think they would hire a lawyer to fight for a constitution amendment that would make life work out to the animals benefit and we humans would get skinned to insulate their animal homes. :rolleyes:

I think they'd say, hey, you human beings are the species that evolved to the point of self-awareness and self-expression. You're supposed to be the "higher" animals with the transcendent outlook. Why then do you not consider the rest of us sentient creatures with compassion and respect? It is your ethical obligation to protect and live in harmony with us supposedly lesser beings. We understood why primitive man had to use us for food and for warmth, but you folks have alternatives. Please use them and let us dwell in peace and safety.

And then maybe they'd remind us about that episode of "The Twilight Zone" (with Rod Serling) when aliens came down to make a soup of us lower humans.

And then maybe they'd pray that fur breeders and wearers would have an epiphany.

Meanwhile, I'll be praying that dogs and goats and lizards--my very favorite animals--take over the universe!
