I saw the trailer for the movie. I love Ben Stiller & Jada Pinkett Smith so that will be one for my daughter and I. Her mother and I alternate kid movies and I get to pick and choose which I want to take my girl to. :)

My boy friend and I just love cartoons so much that we always have to compete with kids on the opening night of the movie... If you see two adults standing first in line and running like kids to get the best seats in the theater, they will be us.. :)
Good thing for us is that we don't have an accompanying adult who says not to run in a public place.. :D

I bounced that trailer off my daughter to see what we thought of the movie. Madagascar is definitely a go for the two of us. It looks pretty funny. Can't wait for summer.

If you guys like CGI movies, there's plenty of them coming out next year.
Pixar: Cars
Disney: Chicken Little
DreamWorks: Madagascar
FOX: Robot
Polar Express came out already, so no news on WB. :)

Zipbow,
What are CGI movies?

CGI movie is referred to as 3D animation by most people. Like The Incredibles, FInding Nemo, Shrek, and SharkTale... etc. They're all CGI/3D animations, as opposed to the traditional/hand-drawn animation.

I'm glad you like the trailer. Since your daughter loves watching NASCAR races, she will love it... That's for sure.. :)

And update for all, Cars was scheduled for November 2005 and Chicken Little for Summer 2005. A few days back Disney switched the release date for these two. So now Cars is coming out in Summer 2005. :)
If you enjoy NASCAR racing, Cars definitely looks like a great movie for you and your daughter to enjoy!

Nope. "Cars" will arrive in theatres in June 2006 (http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/news/archive/2004/12/07/financial1957EST0158.DTL) . Personally, I consider Dreamworks' work to be far inferior technically and story-wise to Pixar's. Still don't understand how "Shrek" beat "Monsters, Inc." for that Oscar.

Probably because it was "fresh" for that time. It's a bit more adult-oriented than Monsters, Inc.
But I agree with coveman. I like Pixar animation a lot more than DreamWorks. Other than Shrek, I think their other CGI movies have really low production values.
And I really dislike how DreamWorks always rip off Disney/Pixar's ideas.
(A Bug's Life - Ants; Deep Impact - Armagaddon.... etc)
Doesn't change the fact I enjoyed Shrek/Shrek 2 though. Wondering if they can pull it off again with Shrek 3.
And yeah you're right, Cars is coming out in 2006, not 2005. My bad. :o

Did you guys try Shrek 3D in Universal Studio, CA? It is awesome. The story line fits right in the middle of Shrek and Shrek 2. Just like other most up-to-date 3D movie rides in Disney world, FL, there is an wonderful sound system, moving chairs, water sprinklers, tickling feather, wind blowing machines, and etc.... Besides, it is very very funny. I loved it so much that I watched it twice.. :D

Haven't been to Universal Studios for quite a while... gotta go try it sometime!
I've only tried those 3D movies at Disney World (Honey I Shrunk The Audiences, It's Tough to Be A Bug, and Mickey's Phiharmagic). Loved them all!!
That Mummy ride at US also looks like fun. I wonder why there's no theme parks here in NY/NJ area... :(
And I heard Shrek 3 is coming out in 2007!!

Mummy was not as good as I expected. Line was so long and I had to wait for 1hr 40 mins, but the ride was only 30 seconds or so. Lots of people got disappointed, although the ending was pretty good except it was too short and makes you wonder that "this is it?" :)

The wait time sounds about right though. In Disney World, the average wait ranges from 45 min to 90 min (during Thanksgiving), and the ride varies from 45 sec to a few minutes.
Their new ride Mission Space was pretty interesting, but too short for our nearly 2-hour-wait!

In Disney World, you can make a reservation with your ticket with the machine and avoid standing in a line; so I don't have a bad memory waiting in line in Disney world and it costs the same as other tickets..
In Universal Studio, there is a VIP ticket, which lets you avoid all the lines without having to make a reservation as well, and it was almost $200; so I opted it out and the waiting in line was very very dreadful..
Anyway, Mission Space is such a fun ride... A roller coaster ride in darkness!! Such a cool idea!!! I loved it. :)

Wait... are you talking about Mission Space or Space Mountain?
Mission Space is not rollar coaster ride. It's the 3g spinning-kinda ride.
Space Mountain, though an old ride, is still one of my favorites!! :D

Zipbow, you are right..
I was confused about those two space stuff at Disney. :)
I love the roller coaster, but did not like the Mission Space. I felt that it was more like a big, fancy version of video game.
I am not a big fan of video game, except Zelda and Bubble-bubble. Hee hee..

Ooooh! Zelda! That's a good game! :D
If you love rollar coasters, you definitely have to go to Magic Mountain/Six Flags!!

Six Flags!!
I used to go to magic mountain in CA quite often. I have never been to one in NJ, though... I've heard a new ride is openning in NJ next year. I must try it!!!! :)
