I've been looking for an awesome coffee maker for the house. My cheap Mr. Coffee finally dripped it's last drop. I went and bought a new Mr Coffee machine that looked cool and had all the right features like delayed auto brew up 24 hrs. ahead, auto 2 hr shutoff, temperature knob to control the temp. of your coffee, & two windows on the front of the unit to show the water level.
My new Mr. Coffee broke the fourth day I owned it. Needless to say I've become disenchanted with the make. So now I'm looking at Krups, Bunn, & Saeco. I've never had any of them but they're all gorgeous machines with pricey tickets. Anyone familiar with the pros & cons of these makes? :Tara.feed

We buy most of our coffee at Starbuck'a or Cosi's, but I've seen some neat ads for unusual coffee makers on TV.

Try Senseo coffee maker (It's about $60 at Amazon)... It uses coffee-pods and is ideal if you 1-2 coffee drinkers in the household. It's not an espresso machine... It is somewhat similar to the traditional coffee maker

Try this excellent web site for comparison if you are shopping for more expensive machines:

I recently got myself an espresso maker - I got it from illy at a good price ($175), but the catch is that you end up buying expensive, but good coffee from illy (at prices that are cheaper than you would find at retail stores) for a year. I love illy coffee and would continue to buy it even after the mandatory year.

NSK,
Thanks for both links I especially liked Whole Latte Love . I enjoyed that link plenty. I was able to look at different styles and even read the reviews.
I think I'm partial to Bunn. They look good & have consistently good reviews. Although the one thing that burns me a bit is that none of them have delayed brewing features. I don't care for that too much but my old lady loves that feat. Huh, I guess you can't have everything. ;)

I still haven't gotten a replacement coffee maker yet. The more I shop the more meticulous I become. This is terrible.
BTW, I've lost 3lbs since the coffee maker has been gone. Does that make sense, or am I not crediting the right thing maybe?

The gentleman that owns the Coffee Beanery suggested heavily that I go with a Capresso coffee maker for the home. Bunn is also very reputable but I get the impression that Bunn is more for commercial use and not so much for the home.
I liked Bunn's bland styling, but my partner likes things w/ fancy features & fancy looks. I guess this is the improvise. Capresso is a reliable coffee maker, makes great coffee, & looks semi fancy. ;)

I've placed an order for a Capresso Coffee Maker from www.1stincoffee.com. It had the best reviews thus far. I've checked out a ton of them already so I am glad that it is on it's way. I miss making coffee at home, it's been two weeks. I been paying out of my ears to be served coffee from coffee shops.
Did you know that you can buy a 12oz bag of Starbucks ground coffee from Target for $6.49. My fiance and I drink about 24oz of coffee p/day each and it last for two weeks.
One 12 oz cup from Starbucks costs $2.17. Is that a return on investment or what? That's a pretty good return for a non-durable purchase. ;)
BTW, 1st In Coffee charged me no tax & no shipping fees.
