I have today finished added a bug tracker to the site. This is to ensure that any errors can easily be reported all in one place and then they can be resolved.
To access the bug tracker simply access the Technical Talk forum and follow the link found at the top of the page.
To use it simply give your bug a descriptive title, select the relevant information relating to the problem via the drop down menus and then type full details of the bug or error in the free text box.
It would be helpful if you could provide details of what you were doing when you encountered the problem, copies of any error messages received, internet browser and operating system used, and as much relevant information as possible. This will enable the problem to be quickly rectified.
Once you have completed the information click 'Submit Bug'. You then have the option of subscribing to your bug to get notification of replies.
When the bug is picked up by a member of the team they will then give it a status along the lines of 'confirmed', 'duplicate', awaiting feedback', working as designed', 'browser issue', etc. It will also be assigned to a member of the team. This will show in the bug tracker's main screen.
Whoever responds to the bug report will give updates by posting under the bug ID number. Once it is resolved the bug will show as closed and will have a status from this list:
Closed (fixed),
Closed (No Response),
Working as Designed,
Won't Fix,
Duplicate, or
Browser Issue.
The bug report will be kept on record indefinitely so that any recurring problems can be easily identified.
