I have said in the past that Hillary Clinton has my support until she wins, or concedes defeat. Neither has happened yet, so Hillary's campaign still has my support but I am a realist. Obama crossed the line this evening, winning
the needed delegates to secure the nomination. I think it's important to acknowledge his victory in good faith, and stand behind him. Of course, we should wait for Hillary to make the first gesture, which we can expect she will do soon.

Although some of us are disappointed that Hillary was not the winner, the time has arrived to begin unifying as a party. Personally, I am still of the opinion that Obama's economic policies need much work, but he has a master in Bill Clinton, who must now put the best interest of the country before his aspirations for his wife, and thus, secure his own legacy.

Besides, isn't it great that our country finally has nominated a black person for president. This is a historical moment, and should be viewed with thoughtful respect. For all those who fought for civil rights over the years and centuries, this is the greatest accolade America can give you. It's an advance forward for our American society, and our American principles. It's a time to be proud of ourselves, and proud of America. and, isn't it nice that the democratic party did it first!
