Also, we should enable the filter for profanity, it will make monitoring this board easier!
The filter is already enabled, but we need to add "bad" words to the banned list manually - I added a few in the beginning, and will keep on adding new ones as I keep coming across them.

Looks like I finally got your funny side to come forward :D !!!
But of course, you can't expect the Admins to be able to read every single post - so, we will obviously need the help of the people who visit this Board.
If they do find a post offending, they can click the Report Bad Post link, which shows up above every single messages posted on this board - it looks like this:
http://newportwaterfrontassociation.org/bb/images/buttons/report.gif
Once we receive a notification, we will look into the contents of the message to figure out the proper course of action for it.

I said Damn earlier, is that a censorable word?
It doesn't seem so bad, or am i just ignorant of my own sailor language...

No, its not one of the words on our banned list - so go ahead, say it all you like. :)

Could you publish a official list of bad words, so that we know to use and what not to use?
Also, if I use the foul words from my native ukranian, would they be translated and banned?

Well, we dont have such a list "officially" complete, and it will be updated as needed - just use your common sense and think before posting, if your post could be considered vulgar or offending to the general public!
Now using native vulgar words could be a topic for open discussion - as long as NOBODY minds them, I think they could stay!!

I can see how people from the Ukraine might object.

Since I don't know any Ukranians around, I suppose I would be ok. If someone comes in I can probably convince him to join the gang.

:) You make it sound as if LostinLaMancha really is SO full of hivno that nobody will be offended if you say so :)

Since I am from Ukraine, my English is not so good ( which is another reason I want to post in my native language). What is Hivno in English? If you mean that in my language, I haven't done it in two days. I need some laxatives. I think Target has them for a good price.
