It's hard to move around this bulletin board. Whenever I want to go back to the homepage I click on that spinning Newport Waterfront Association icon with the globe and it does nothing. I have to keep hitting the back button on my browser to go back to the homepage. Usually when websites have an icon like this one, when clicked it takes you to back to the homepage. It's a bit of a pain in the butt.

Use the Forum jump at the bottom of the page, it's a drop down window. It will take you anywhere you want to go on the bulletin board.

I can't see the globe, just a box with a red "x" in it. Is it just me, or are others in the same situation? Does anyone see the globe?

Don't panic, I'm fixing that today with some other work as well. The globe image was broken as I forgot about the password protect on the server I had it hosted on. *blush*

Is there any word on that grammar check feature? Is that in the works too & do we even have the feature available to activate? :)

There isn't a grammar check feature available at present. Perhaps after Christmas is out of the way I shall sit down and spend a few weeks writing one either as an additional function or as an add-on to the Spell Checker. I'm not saying I can do though because it depends on how busy I am with my other job.

Integrating the GrammerCheck into the SpellCheck is not a bad idea. That would actually be a fantastic feat.

You know, I read someone make mention of another issue with the bulletin board on this thread or another however, I still haven't noticed a change so I'll mention it again...

Upon clicking on the Bulletin Board link from the home page I get a message telling me I am being re-directed to the "new" site link. Not to be a pain in the soft stuff but the link is not so "new" any longer. Is it possible to click the Bulletin Board link and actually see the Bulletin Board immediately after the click?

We haven't made the change just yet because the old bulletin board still needs work, and I haven't finished going through all the old threads. I hope to get this done over the holiday when I have some free time, and then we can merge the homepage and new board. :o

As of the forum layout, I recommend adding a "back to top" or "back to root forum" link at the bottom of the page. It's a bit hard to return to the forum's main page once you scroll down to the bottom of the page....

You can either use the Forum Jump at the bottom to go where ever you want on the bulletin board or better yet, this is my favorite ;) , click on the spinning globe that reads NWA at the top and it will take you back to the bulletin board home page.

I actually didn't notice that forum jump function. Never scroll that far down before. It's a neat feature indeed!

Another question about the forum. I know on other forums, once I read the last page of a thread, the thread is marked as "read" immediately. On NWA forum, however, it sometimes takes a few minutes for the thread to change from "unread" to "read."

I've been having this problem ever since the new forum launched. Those threads eventually turns into "read," but it can be confusing at times.... :(

It should be taking you back to the forums homepage. If not please save the page to your desktop and zip it up. You can then email it to me at peterska2 [at] peterska2.co.uk and I will check it out for you to see what is wrong.

This is a known bug which is not going to be resolved until the next release of the vBulletin software that we use.

Would it be ok to switch the order of 'your item' and 'Items in the pet shop' on the page where you buy an item.

I sold my stuff in my inventory by mistake several times because your inventory is the first thing you see after you enter one of the pet shops. To buy a stuff, you have to scroll down and click. It is little bit unnecessary, I think. :)

Once a spider starts fighting and has a damaged health. He will never be able to be fully healed since all the healing items come with HP as well..
I don't know about other kinds of pet.


Don't we need a little bit cheaper item that only heals the pet and not give any HP nor ability points? Just a suggestion.. :)

That way users can share some funny picture/files they may have on their computer.

Not in Mozilla you aren't. Did you purchase an effect from the store? This could be the reason.

Possibly a cookie problem. What browser are you using? Can you clear your cookies out and try again. If the problem persists then I'll check the settings. (I never log out so I've not noticed this)

I'm currently developing something to do this. I just need to make the gallery pages unless I leave it where the pics just show in the member profile page.

When you are making a post go into the advanced screen rather that using the quick reply box. If you scroll down the page to below the Submit button you will find a set of Additional Options. One of these is Manage Attachments. Click that button and it will bring up a page to upload files. You can upload your graphic files there.

Which photo album system are you planning to use?
I recommend coppermine. It's got most of the basic features we may need, and isn't too hard to configure. It comes with some basic skins too.

Might take a bit longer if you want to customize the skin to blend in with NWA layout though. :)

It just checks the actual post. Admins have the ability to change thread titles but it is best to just check it before hitting the submit button. If in doubt put the thread title in your actual post before you run the spell checker. That way you will know if it is right or not and will be able to move it then to the title field before submitting.

When reviewing Stats under the petz link. There is a column that displays richest members, shouldn't it be a cumulative figure of "bank money" and "your money"? :D

You only see the money that's not deposited in your bank account. Just deposit your money in the account, and it will show zero money.

I've just tried it with a beta item and it completely flopped and just checked the message body not the title. It looks like it's not going to be easily possible.
