Hey Everyone,


Being gay, I have always thought that it would be really cool to have some sort of gay organization for Newport residents. Would anyone be interesting in starting up one? I don't care if it's political, support , or social.

I know that JC already has one, but I'd like to see something just for our area.

Just a thought,

Hey R.C. Guy,

Thanks for making me not think I that this a crazy idea. I actually have been thinking of a gay Newport group for many years, but I don't have any experience in organizing a group.

Let's wait another week or so and who else responds and then we can maybe kick some ideas around.

Do you have any preference about the type of group? I'm actually leaning towards social. There are many different support groups for various issues available in the area and NWA is a pretty liberal political/advocacy group.

Hey Guys,
I'm up for an informal social group. I'm moving next week but just over to The Park Hamilton. One thing I've notice since I started the process of buying this new condo is how many gay guys I see over in the Jersey City area. I know there are a few of us in Newport but just on the other side of the mall there seem to be many. Basic Food is a restaurant that seems very gay friendly.

I look forward to seeing if anything comes of this.

Hey, I know, I've got my own thread. And I didn't mean to sound anti-gay. I just felt mischievous.

I've been REAL busy. And I'm off to Europe Friday for a couple of weeks business and pleasure, so I'll be really quiet again.

Have you guys started that gay group already? I have been reading about this forever. Someone coordinate, others will follow. Do it. How's that for encouragement.
