Looking for one bedroom apt

A friend of mine is looking to rent one bedroom apartment in Newport.
Is it realistic to get one for $1400-1600?

Perhaps in the older complex of the Presidential Plaza but the ToA are more expensive and only older leases that might be taken over might be around the $1650 range (most likely higher). Any new leases start at $1850 or so for a 1 bdr. Might however be possible at the Lincoln and the Roosevelt behind the Mall..

You can definitely get a 1BR for that price in the Lincoln or Roosevelt....The Roosevelt is all full and since it's brand new, nothing will come up til November.

The Lincoln would have something...2BR's are 1735 there. Just keep calling the mgmt office.
