Recycling

I live in the Atlantic building. I'd like to recycle everything I can: paper, plastic, glass, aluminum, newsprint, etc. The signs above the bins in the floor's waste/recycling closet mention only paper and plastic. I'm wondering, if other materials are placed in there, will they be sorted out and recycled appropriately? I assumed not, and so haven't put anything but paper and plastic in there.

If so, is there another reasonable option for recycling the other stuff (i.e. proper bins on the ground floor, or somewhere near the building?)
