Day care - Newport

Does anyone have information regarding day care services in/around Newport. I know about the River School. But are there any small in home groups? or babysitting/nanny services around?

There are a couple of them in grove street (thought do not like that too much), an Indian lady was offering day care in George Washington, else you can always get a nanny.

River School on Warren St. is about 0.8 miles from Newport but costs the same as the one in Newport. It is easier to find an opening there then in Newport. My child is there and I like it. She learns lots of things. She was once in the OLC school at York/Marin Blvd. and their Montessori program was great. There are other schools such as Garden Cooperative in the church at York/Grove and Waterfront Montessori and Whole New World Academy in Hoboken. Lots of factors to consider: location, cost, hours, food, quality of activities for child, quality of teachers/care givers, environment.
