I do not own a car but if anyone does, we can get together and use the Jersey City public tennis courts.
Any other ideas and/or suggestions are welcome.

I havent played in a while, but would love to get back into the mode. There are 2 courts in Hamilton Park, which is definitely walkable from Newport

Great, can we plan on this once the weather improves? I used to play a lot of tennis and have not found anyone in the Newport area.

We could use the courts next to the ferry stop. Much more convenient than heading to the JC public courts.

Just bought a racquet and hardly know how to play, but I'd like to try. Problem is I don't know anyone who plays tennis. I'll play with anyone who doesn't mind a beginner, preferably someone close to my age (23) though I don't care about that too much. I have a car to drive to free courts or will use the ones by the ferry... I'd rather not play on public JC courts unless the neighborhood is nice though. cek9@cornell.edu
