I have been using PATH for several years and noticed that they always have several escalators broken. Brand-new elevator on Pavonia is also constantly in repairs. There're usually 4 people fixing the escalator -- one or two are working, others drink coffee. During turnstile installation I counted 12 people on the location and only 3 of them were doing something. Others were just chatting w/ each other, drinking coffee, etc.
PATH is one annoying system. At least rates are not that bad; hope there won't be any increases in the future. I wonder if they are installing new turnstiles to have grounds for raising rates.
