Last Sunday, we had dinner at Dorrian's, and were surprised to see over fifty English women, chatting with their British accents, and enjoying drinks at Dorrian's. They appeared to be twenty something, and single. It looked like Dorrian's is the place to go, if you want to meet English women in Newport.
Now, if I could only figure out where the men are, wouldn't it be wonderful... ;)

HOBOKEN... They're all in Hoboken. Try any bar along Washington, First Street & up by the Path (River St I think). There are tons of men.
In particular - Hobsons, Scotland Yard & Green Rock (near the Path)
- Mile Square, Dippers & Madison's (on Washington at 3rd, 7th & 14th St)
-McSwiggins, Mulligans & Buskers (First Street, all between Bloomfield
& Garden)

KS, don't you live in Hoboken? If so, do you also troll the Hoboken message boards?
Or does Newport hold a special place in your heart?

Tara, all the girls are on the Mountbatten program. There is plenty of information posted about the program on this board. This time of year they are just arriving and all socialise in Dorrians; especially on a Friday night. I can't see how you can be in Newport for so long and miss them!

Don't know if Newport has a special place in her heart, but she does have a special place in my heart.

LLM- You obviously have it in for me, so I'll just laugh at your vindictiveness and pettiness on a message board.
WIW- You need to develop a sense of humor. I teased you, now you're the angry badger ... get a grip, it's a message board.

Have I ever been vindictive? And anyhow, would you prefer <quote>vindictiveness and pettiness <unquote> in real life to that on a stupid board?

Nic, besides the rain, what did you think of Princeton? At one time I considered relocating to Princeton.

I was down there just using a local hotel and its conference facilities, we seem to go down there quite a lot but I'm not sure if it is to bask in the reflected glory of being in or near a University town or whether the rates are good in local hotels. My company has a pretty strong association with Harvard, so for things we do with academics or for executive programmes we tend to go there.
A number of my colleagues live round Princeton and seem to like the area; I think it's good for schools and stuff. The town itself is quite pretty and when college is going on it feels quite lively, but there's a lot of tourists and it's actually quite a small place. I suspect out of term-time it's dead.

I wanted the 150 English girls to come to my show. Only 4 showed up. They were very nice.
