OK so now I'm severely pissed off. After 4 days of a nightmare dealing with Verizon in getting DSL in my GW apartment (misinformation, incompetance, faxing ID, getting cut off from their operator, blah blah bah), at the end of it all, the woman tells me that I CAN'T have DSL at that address because the building doesn't have the right telephone connections, or something. This is after being told by about 4 different employees that I COULD have it. I asked her to check, double check, triple check, and she was 100% adamant. So she wouldn't progress any further.
So I'm looking through the archives of the old board, and see people talk about having DSL in my building. So what's going on? Can I get it or not? I'm tempted to call them again, but am so wary of their employees who don't seem to know whether they're on dry land or at sea or WHAT.
Anyone have any definite info for me?
