I heard London won the bid, making this... the 3rd time UK is holding Olympics? Congrats to London!!

Some neighbors might not be too happy for a while though...

London won by 54 votes to 50. They last held the Olympics in 1948.

Hopefully this will lead to more investment in London's creaking transport system. Sadly the one bit of London's creaking transport system that works, the open-back Routemasters that have been on London's streets since 1957, are getting phased out this year.
