The option to post HTML code directly within posts is disabled in pretty much EVERY single Bulletin Board that I am a member of - it is one of the MOST important things that can be done to prevent the presence of malicious code within messages, which could possibly harm anybody visting the Board and viewing those messages.

Instead, vBulletin uses vB Code, which can handle most of the common options that you would normally use HTML for - you can read more about it here:
