I'm trying out this vote system. What do you think of poop throwing? A disgusting habit, worse than tossing the caber? Direct action that puts a mess back where it belongs? Sitting on the fence?

Dog poop, not human poop.
Apparently, there is a heated poop-throwing debate on the old bulletin board.

I'm suprised to see many people voted for "yes,...." I don't think that's the way you "teach" someone a lesson - "eye for an eye". That's always a different path for getting a justice and it's called "the law". This is the very same reason why the rest of world against the so called "war against terroriism".

Remember Scott, there are a lot of Republicans on this board.

I did not vote (yet), but "the law" does not care about dog poop on public property.
If you believe that "the law" does care, then you probably believe that "the law" tickets all of the illegally parked cars in the Newport area. And I have a bridge to sell you!
Maybe some peer pressure from neighbors in the community is the way to go? Afterall, we are the ones who suffer the consequences, not some patrol officer from the Heights with his head turned to such offenses.

The forum page should point to the poll so that it's visible to everyone. People visiting the Bulletin Board can't easily see that there's a poll.
The poll is cute, I voted, but the choices for "No" are to specific. By that I mean, there are other reasons to vote no besides, write a letter to the press, and feel sympathy for the victim. However, the poll is creative and funny. sammlung05

Thanks, Lisa. And I do admit to a few methodological shortcomings in the construction of the poll, one of which you correctly point out. I think I may have spent too much time in doctor's surgeries completing polls in Cosmopolitan magazine, although the good news is my breasts aren't too small and I've learnt how to spice up my love life using everyday fruit and vegetables.

I don't agree with the poop throwing even though it is a very irritating problem. I also can't stand litter bugs and people who spit chewing gum on the sidewalk. I have no real alternatives but I know that throwing dog poop on people is not the way.

I agree that flinging poop, while very tempting, is not the best way to get someone to change their disgusting habits. I always thought a good punishment would be to pick up the dropped poop in plastic, follow the law-breaker to their floor and see exactly which apartment they live in, and then go put the poop right in front of their door so THEY step in it when they leave the apartment. Perhaps a note under it could say "you dropped this -- thought you might want it back!"

Fling the poop man, I'd rather they wore it and not me. I'll tell you, stepping in poop really gets me going man. That can ruin a good portion of my day. I become self conscious and wonder if I got it all off. Depending on where I am,
I may even buy a new pair of shoes and do away with the pooped ones just so I don't have to think about it. In my head I always damn the person that left the poop there for me to step on so I say....
Fling the poop!
